Orientation day

Today we had our “orientation day” which means that we were supposed to sing and dance to show them our abilities. So, first thing after some lectures, we were supposed to dance. We were separated again in groups of 7 people and 7 of us went for dancing session. It was OK. I survived. The guy was showing us some steps and we were supposed to follow the steps and show them how we move and how comfortable we are feeling with dancing. After that we had our vocal session which also went OK. We had to do the vocals so they can put us in alto or soprano voice in the show. So, I’m totally alto. I’m not able to sing high.
After that we also had our costume session where we had to show our costumes to lady who is responsible for costumes and she was happy with my outfit. I only have to buy some bra and shoes.
After that some of girls and me went for some sightseeing as we had some free time till the dinner time. We have visited to Colorado’s Capitol which is the center of Colorado state government. So the building is huge and it houses the Senat, the House of Representatives, the Office of the Governor, the Office of the Lieutenant Governor and the Department of Treasury. I love it.

In the evening we had “Cultural Jam”. It is kind of show where people presented their culture via singing, dancing or spoken word. It was interesting to see it. Participants presented Sweden, Brazil, Mexico, Belgium, Germany etc. Tomorrow is another cultural jam and than is when I’m going to present Croatia wearing national costume and singing one song. I still don’t want to revile it which one is going to be.

It was a really long day and I’m feeling really sleepy so I’ll upload more photos tomorrow.
