Facebook Announces Community-Driven Process for New T-of-S
Mark Zuckerberg put on his best politician face Thursday for a press conference discussing Facebook’s plan to create a new “governing document” debated and voted on by members of the social networking giant. The announcement comes just weeks after Facebook caused a flurry of controversy with changes to its terms-of-service that left countless users feeling like Zucks’ empire had gone too far. Facebook plans to form a “user council” that will effectively serve as a connection between members and management in fielding comments about the new Facebook Statement of Rights and Responsibilities (formerly the “Terms of Service”). Hmm, so who feels better? Yeah, me neither.
