Stokke is a municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. In the administrative center of the municipality is the village of Stokke.
Background
Stokke Municipality was established on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). Two islands were subsequently transferred from the municipality of Stokke in the neighboring municipality Nřtterřy: Hĺřya (in 1901) and Veierland (in 1964).

The municipality (originally the parish) is named in honor of the old Stokke farm (Old Norse: Stokkar), since the first church was built here. The name is the plural form stokkr, which means "entrance". (This will probably mean some small hills / ridges near churchsite.) [2]

On the emblem of modernity. They received 13 January 1984. Weapons of hypocritical because STOKKER means "stick" and "magazines". The arms show three gold-colored trunks of trees on a red background. [3]
