Anđeosko lice mi se smiješi ispod novinskog naslova o tragediji. Taj osmijeh me nekad ispunjavao toplinom, a sada ga više nema. Za njim su isplakane i suze ljubavi i suze straha.
Zbogom, nemam više riječi pokraj križa na tvom grobu i tih svijeća koje će zauvijek gorjeti. Bio si potreban drugdje kako bi nas podsjetio na kratkoću našeg vremena. Moj prijatelju još jučer smo se rukovali, a danas mjesečina obasjava tvoj put. Nikada neću shvatiti zašto anđeli umiru prvi. Neka melodije tvoje harfe usrećuju one kojima je potrebno. Pjevaj im o ljepoti svojega kraljevstva.
Prošlo je mnogo vremena otkad si otišao. Drveće je odbacilo svoje lišće, oblaci svoju kišu. Vrijeme je uzelo većinu mene i ostavilo me bez ključa da otključam komoru s lijekovima. Umorna sam i želim odustati. Predstava je gotova, zastor se spustio. Sve priče su ispričane, sve ruže su uvenule. Što je život? Život je šah, pomičeš potez i vidiš . . . trebalo je drukčije i teško je kada kao mali pijun koračaš naprijed nikad nazad. Često imam veliku želju vratiti se onim istim, starim stazama. Život je šah koji se samo jednom igra, a ja . . . ja sam toliko puta povlačila pogrešan potez.
Nema više tragova suza na stranicama moga dnevnika. Sve što sam napisala postalo je bezvrijedno. Vrijeme je da ostavim ovu olovku sa strane i pronađem: vilenjački put, nebo mladosti i harmoniju života.
