Anne Palms Chalmers and Holly Gunner are to be married today at the Lyman Estate in Waltham, Mass. Justice Leila R. Kern, a Superior Court Judge of Massachusetts, in Cambridge, is to officiate.
Ms. Chalmers (left) is 62. She is the art director of cookbooks and guides at the Houghton Mifflin Company, the publisher in Boston. She graduated from Smith and received a master's degree in art history from New York University.
Ms. Gunner, 60, is a management consultant in Newton, Mass. She is also a member of the board of the American Civil Liberties Union of Massachusetts, and represents it on the board of MassEquality, a coalition formed to defeat Massachusetts constitutional amendments that would bar gay couples from marrying under civil law. Ms. Gunner graduated from Barnard and received both an M.B.A. and a master's degree in teaching and English from Harvard.
