(1982-1991)
The band MIZAR is formed in Skopje,1982, with this line up : Gorazd Chapovski (guitar),
Risto Vrtev (vokal),Ilija Stojanovski (bass guitar) and Panta Dzambazovski (drums).In 1983
the band for the first time appeared live several times in Skopje,Ohrid (Macedonia) and on the
YURM (Yugoslavian Rock Moment Festival) in Zagreb (Croatia).Mizar's line-up changes in
1985 : instead of Risto Vrtev comes Goran Tanevski, Slobodan Stojanoski is now on keyboards.
The band records few demos the same year and starts a yugoslavian tour (Nis, Beograd, Rijeka
Ljubljana - with Laibach and Disciplina Kicme). 1987 they played on Subotica rock festival
"Mladina" where they won a first place prize from audience. After this success they got a contract
for recording a first studio album. The album simply named "Mizar" is released 1988 in Ljubljana,
Slovenia, on an independent label Helidon. The same year they have a big yugoslavian tour. In
Ljubljana Mizar appeared with Swans and Miladojka Youneed. 1989 Mizar leaves for London
searching a record label. After that they start working on their second album "Svjat Dreams" at the
end of 1990. After recording the album the frontman Goran Tanevski leaves the band, and new
vocalist becomes Nora. In 1991 the album is released on Amakord Records, the bands label.
The band leaves for another yu tour and they play the last gig in June 1991 in Skopje.
One of the most important gigs was the gig in Udine,Italy and Hamburg,Germany
