Sjećanje je loš saveznik. Mate Bašić nije bio zamjenik Marinka Božića, neg' njegov pomoćnik. Treći čovjek.
Ako Matanu nije dosta pogled na poleđinu Arenine presice, nek se o mom urednikovanju raspita kod Tomislava Wrussa i Mladena Gerovca koji su koncem 1994. na šefovskim mjestima zamijenili Josipa Mušnjaka i Vesnu Blueml Mihaljević. U Areni sam se prvi put susreo s Globusovskim opremama. Kuljiš nam je dolazio davati poduku iz opremanja. A osobno sam ponosan na svoj urednički pristup prvom Papinom posjetu Hrvatskoj. Hvala Bogu, u tu mi se temu nisu mješali ni Kuljiš, ni Mate Bašić koji se baš ufurao u pokretanje Zore s Božom Vukušićem, ing. Tomislavom Merčepom i Nikolom Štedulom. Kasnije će pokojni dr. Franjo Tuđman oštro zamjeriti ing. Merčepu angažman u Zori.

Also, judge in Rijeka, Ika Saric, who was leading the process against Tihomir Oreskovic and Mirko Norac, wrote in verdict that in Gospic, besides killing of Serbian civilian, also were killed Croats. During the process she was interested in murder of two Croatian emigrants, who in autumn 1991. brought to Gospic war headquarters subsidy for defense, and asked a receipt for that.
Supposedly, they got a receipt, and after they steped out of a building of the headquarters, they were killed from the back, and their death was shown as acting of chetnic sharpshooters.
With that case was dealing a former inspector from Gospic police, Tomislav Oreskovic, who in 1998. had to leave the Croatia because of threats, and today he lives under protection of German authoroties, waiting for the paper for asylum.
