John Dennis English and Robert Paul Lavigne were married on Thursday in Northampton, Mass. Richard M. Evans, a justice of the peace, officiated.
Mr. English (above, left) and Mr. Lavigne, both retired Connecticut schoolteachers, have been together for 32 years. Mr. English, 60, taught English and social studies at the Western Middle School in Greenwich. Mr. Lavigne, 69, taught fine art and painting at Darien High School.
