The word “UNIVERSIADE” comes from “university” and “Olympiad”, and means Olympic Games for students. UNIVERSIADE is an international sporting and cultural festival which is staged every two years in a different city. Last one was held in Daegu (South Korea) in summer of 2003.
Why not being a volunteer?
UNIVERSIADE is seeking volunteers who can help in the success of the organisation. People who will be over 18 in the dates of the event are eligible to be a volunteer.
Every volunteer will receive special volunteer uniform as the memory of the Games.
Why not being a spectator?
UNIVERSIADE will be held near the Aegean Sea “the sea of the myths” for the first time. Young athletes from all over the world will share the joy of the competition and you can share the joy with them here, in Izmir.
