The Nike Dunk Low “Pink Velvet” Is Releasing For Girls

With the likes of the Nike Dunk Low “Orange Pearl” and the upcoming, Valentine’s Day-reminiscent Dunk Low, the 1985 silhouette is no stranger to the color pink. The pretty pastel continues to make its way onto new Dunk offerings, as seen on an unveiled arrangement that gets playful with sheens and velvet textures.
This GS-exclusive style sports its usual white smooth leather base and rosy leather overlays and lacestays. The profile Swooshes and laces opt for a dusty pink instead and exhibit a subtle, shiny finish for a near-metallic look. The fun continues with the heel tab indulging in a plush pink velvet build and red embroidery—design cues that have been channeled by the Strangelove x Nike SB Dunk Low. While a pink outsole is expected, a closer look reveals some speckling that is likely due to the use of recycled materials such as Regrind rubber. With the emergence of “Move To Zero” Dunk Lows, it’s possible that more Dunks—such as this very pair—will be featuring sustainable materials going forward.
