One day, a peasant from a nearby place knocked on the door of a monastery. When the doorman's brother opens the heavy oak door, the peasant hands him a beautiful bunch with a smile. "Brother porter," said the newcomer, "do you know to whom I have brought this most beautiful bunch I have picked in my vineyard?"
"To the director of the convent or to another brother in our community." "Not! I brought it to you! ” "Menu?" the bewildered faces of the surprised brother goalkeeper. "Did you bring it to me?" "Of course, I brought it to you because you always received me kindly and friendly when I came to ask for some help. I wanted to cheer you up a little with this bunch. ” It seemed to him that he himself was illuminated by the blush from the goalkeeper's face.
The doorman's brother placed the bunch in a conspicuous place and looked at it with admiration all morning. The cluster was truly beautiful. Suddenly it occurs to him: "Why wouldn't I make our director happy with this bunch ?!"
He took the bunch and took it to the elder of the monastery. This one was genuinely happy with the bunch. But he soon remembered his older sick brother and decided, "I'll take him to him, let him sweeten up a little." So the bunch moved on again. However, he did not stay in his sick brother's room for long. Namely, he intended to use it to make his brother the chef happy, who sweats all day around the stove. The brother to cook sent the bunch to the sacristan brother (to cheer him up a little), and the latter took it to the youngest brother in the convent, from which the bunch went on again. Circling from brother to brother, the bunch reached the brother-in-law again (to cheer him up a little). Thus would be a closed circle, a circle of joy.
"Don't wait for someone else to start. It is your turn today to open the circle of joy. Sometimes a small spark is enough to ignite a large fire. With a spark of goodness, the world could begin to change. Love is the only treasure that is multiplied by sharing. It is the only gift that increases the more it is spent. It is also the only entrepreneurship in which spending earns more. Give that treasure, distribute it, scatter it in all directions, empty your pockets and baskets to the bottom, empty your glass and tomorrow you will find it even more than you had yesterday. ”
