Machines that give abundance have left us eager. Knowledge has made us cynical, and our minds hard and unkind. We think too much and feel too little. We need humanity more than machines. We need kindness and tenderness more than intelligence. Without these qualities, life will be violent and everything will be lost ...
Planes and radio brought us closer to each other. The very nature of these inventions cries out for goodness in people, cries out for universal brotherhood, for the unity of all of us. Even now, my voice reaches millions of people around the world, millions of desperate men, women and young children - victims of a system that forces people to torture and imprison innocent people.
To those who can hear me, I say - do not despair. The misery that is now upon us is only a passing greed - the bitterness of people who are afraid of human progress. The hatred of the people will pass, the dictators will die and the power they took from the people will return to the people. And as long as people die, freedom will never die ...
Soldiers! Don’t indulge in the brutal, the people who despise you, who have captured you, who run your lives, tell you what to do, what to think and what to feel! Who drill you, feed you, treat you like cattle, use you like cannon fodder. Don’t give in to these unnatural people, machine people with machine minds and machine hearts! You are not machines! You are not cattle! You are human! You have love for humanity in your hearts! You don't hate! They hate only the unloved - the unloved and the unnatural! Soldiers! Don't fight for slavery! Fight for freedom!
In Luke 17, it says, "The kingdom of God is within man" - not in one man or in a group of people, but in all people! In you! You humans have power - the power to create machines. You have the power to create happiness! You people have the power to make this life free and beautiful, to make it a wonderful adventure.
Then, in the name of democracy, let's use that power, let's all unite. We are fighting for a new world - a decent world that will give people the opportunity to work, that will give the young a future and the old a security. Promises brutally came to power. But they are lying! They are not fulfilling that promise. And never will!
Dictators liberate themselves, but enslave the people! We are now fighting to fulfill that promise, to liberate the world, to remove national barriers, to remove greed, hatred and intolerance. We are fighting for a world of reason, a world in which science and progress will lead to all the happiness of all people. Soldiers! In the name of democracy, let's unite! "
