You will end up a prostitute on the street...
That’s what my father said to me when I was 14 years old.
What followed can only be described as a scene from a horror movie, so I apologise if this is a disturbing read for you.
His remark was as a result of me refusing to clean the toilet.
You see, it wasn't about having a problem with it, it was his intention.
He was deliberately trying to humiliate me by forcing me to do a task that he believed was all I was good for.
I could cope with the beatings, but not that.
No matter how many punches he threw, I still refused.
With anger and disgust, for the first time I answered back.
I said “How would a loser like you know what I will become”?
I was ready to take the consequences to show my inner strength.
He started pulling my hair and lifting me from the bed. I could feel how each thread was being pulled out of my head.
What happened next shocked me and him just as much.
I started hitting him and punching him and shouting at him and at my mother.
It was the first time I had ever done that.
Since then, I have never compromised on the life I wanted to create. ”
That experience gave me the strength and now it comes easy to me to break the mould and do the extraordinary.
I've channelled that into being a successful business woman.
So many women are settling for less than they deserve and staying in jobs that don’t pay them their worth.
I now spend my time helping awesome women to combine strength and strategy to escape corporate confinement and build a business and life that they love.
You don’t have to stay in a job which doesn’t fulfill you because that is what other people expect of you.
You don’t have to deny yourself anything and most certainly you don’t have to become something you’re not in order to succeed!
