There is a real and serious epidemic of Lyme disease in Europe and North America.
In NY state in every 10 ticks, 8 transmit Lyme. Every year in the US 300.000 new cases
are diagnosed, and the prediction is there is 20x more undiscovered cases.
In Zagreb 300 cases every year, 20x more undiscovered.
Very serious and very much undercover illness which imitate 200 other serious diseases
like Alzheimer, MS, Arthritis etc.
White deer are nursery ground for contaminated ticks.
While deer can't get ill, we can.
Mice are common transmitter. Deer/mice > ticks > man is the path.
From early sprint to late summer is the season of ticks especially 6th month (2nd year stage) and 8th month (fresh, 1st year small nimfa just out from mice fur).
Use autan or deed repellent on your skin every few hours in the woods,, perithrine on your clothes (not on skin!) once in a week.
Check for bites and remove them if they are attached, immediately.
Disinfect bitten spot.
Avoid get exposed, if in woods keep away from 1m tall grass especially and bushes and off the leaves under the tree.
Use paths, do not sit on the ground, etc
