As we all know Smok RPM40 is a very popular mod pod kit from Smok. SMOK as a leading vape brand which centres on electronic cigarette technology research and development, for better vaping experience, SMOK has released RPM80 and RPM80 Pro in the late of 2019, and SMOK marks them as the next game-changer in the pod mod category. So we can say that The Smok RPM 80 Kits are the bigger and more powerful version of the popular RPM 40 Kit.
From the parameters and appearance of RPM80, it recalls me VOOPOO Vinci X and Sense Herakles pod, that maybe means the market loves the Pod Mod, a position that target pod and mod segment. So let's check out what's different from RPM80 and RPM80 Pro, and what improvement compare to the SMOK RPM40?
SMOK RPM80 vs SMOK RPM80 Pro
Battery: The biggest difference is battery size, the SMOK RPM80 Pro powered by a replaceable single 18650 battery to provides long-lasting power for the entire device. The battery cap is push-pull for easier battery replacement. Versus SMOK RPM80 powered by built-in 3000mAh battery, to be honest the battery size is relatively large in the pod mod category.
Parameters: The parameters of these two kits almost the same except the height, SMOK RPM80 Pro kit is higher than the SMOK RPM80.
IQ80 chip is used in these two kits, driven by the newly developed IQ-80 chipset, the RPM80 series stands out among all Pod Mods. It offers a variety of intelligent features and functional protections, becoming a mighty changer in the Pod Mod Category.
Max 80W Output
The max 80W output of those two kit is more than sufficient for a mod pod. In the power range of 1W-80W, you can press the UP/DOWN button to adjust the required power and get the perfect effect.
Pod
The pod has been redesigned and there are two different pod types which accept different types of coil. Both pods are included in the kit:
RPM Pod – this uses the existing RPM coil range and comes with a 0.4ohm mesh coil already installed. It is compatible with all RPM40 coils to maximize coil capability and diverse the vaping need.
RGC Pod – this uses the RGC coils which appear to be new for this kit. These include the new NexMESH conical 0.17ohm coil which is installed. The RGC pod is SMOK’s first pod with adjustable airflow. Just like an atomizer, the adjustable airflow ring at the bottom can be rotated to adjust the air input.
