Connect:Amp
Click for the latest online music services some online services require a paid subscription. This Sonos Connect:Amp sits next to my surround Amp and can be switched via remote audio switch in and out depending on streaming or local content. I would post the link but I don't think this site will allow me to.
In either case you may need a bridge if you want the source of the music to be from the receiver which has airplay capability or if your internet connection is also in this room. Will Sonos work with my existing equipment? Alternatively, you can go the all-in-one route with the Play:5 and Play:3, both of which have built-in speakers.
Connect:Amp - I've now used the system literally daily now for 3 years, and I couldn't be happier with the purchase.
I would u; to add 2 wireless speakers to get a surround sound feel. A friend told me about Sonos Connect- but it's really expensive. Is there a system out there that is the same idea but more affordable? Sonos connect will not give you rear channels. It would add streaming services and audio file playback if connected as a source for your receiver. You don't use Sonos speakers with the Connect. In either case you will need a transmitter that can pair with 2 speakers. Most will only pair with one. You will need to balance the rear speakers so you get the right amount of surround sound. Follow the receivers manual. Adjust the rear channel output of the receiver to balance to the front. You can find the manual here.
