Keuka Lake State Park was our favorite because the sites were enormous with lots of trees. Check with the parks availability. Alcohol Housatonic Meadows, Macedonia Brook Campground, Black Rock State Park and Kettletown State Park both do not allow alcohol in the park at all, even at your campsite. Only thing we are really disappointed in is they don't have a laundry facility. It is to us in some cases — not all. There are several hiking trails, including one which leads out to Deadhorse Point. That said, the average work-camping position I have heard of does not attract me.
