Hello Richard I thought you were a bot taken on by Sift for round the clock moderation! With HMRC Chat they were people behind Chat functionality. I found it far better than trying to get someone over on the phone in HMRC. I do not have to listen to HMRC message about going to their website for information. Further, I can keep chat history as evidence of my conversation with HMRC. Also, I intend to have HMRC security information as a template so most of the information can be pasted on chat when asked by HMRC. I will use chat more. Also a less confident employee prefers to use Chat rather than pick up the phone. HMRC so far have got this right. I have not got round to Chat functionality for our practice. Just need some time.
