ARGUMENTS FOR REINCARNATION (A. BESANT)
1) There are living persons who remember their past incarnations, and they can recall events and ongoings from previous lifetimes.
2) Plant, animal, man – all of them show signs of acting of 'law of inheritance', whose aim is to bring (from structure of parents) onto progeny peculiarities of their own constitution.
3) Reincarnation gives the thread and the base, by placing the mental and moral qualities into the immortal ego, and not in physical body born of parents. The stong similarity by brothers is followed sometimes by mental and moral characteristics which are entirely opposite. Inheritance can explain the former, but not the latter.
4) Twins can have total physical resemblance, and strong difference between mental and moral type.
5) Premature development rebutes some of the scientific explainations.
6) Genii stem from common families. When strong Ego comes to the average family, we have to search for the cause, and we won't find it in the family tree.
7) Peculiar deifferences between people regarding their abilities of acceptance and use of different knowledge.
8) Intuition is closely linked with fast recall of the old knowledge.
9) Reincarnation solves the problem of diversity, change of circumstance, different abilities, opportunities which otherwise present evidence that justice is not a fact of life, and that people are only favorite game of some irresponsible creator or blind forces of unfeeling nature.
10) Indispensable inter-relation between the immortality after the death is eternal existence before the birth.
11) There exist the immortality of the spiritual intelligence in man that enables growth, mental and moral, until it masters all the lessons.
12) Congruence points at simultaneous existence of temporary and permanent elements in a life cycle.
13) Eternally repeating cycles throughout the history point at incarnation of the great number of people who possibly are at some kind of waiting, or 'stock'.
14) The rise and fall of races is best explained by the theory of reincarnation. When one race reaches its summit of achievement, then begins its slow fall. Simultaneously, then begins the slow rise of the other race which is congruent with the fall of the first one.
