Now, something more interesting for the readers of the states of former Yugoslavia. Bosnian king, contemporary of English king Henry VI, was Stjepan Tomaš (Stephen Thomas). He ruled Bosnia from 1443 to 1461 (interesting coincidence – rule of Henry VI ended also in 1461, though later prolonged, for just 6 more months in 1470; until that year also lasted the rule of French king Charles VII).
Upon getting the annulment of the first marriage, with Vojača, in 1445 Stephen Thomas married for the second time, for Katherine, daughter of Hercegovina Duke (Herzeg of Saint Sava) Stephen Kosača and his wife Helena Balšić. Soon the royal couple (both of them) converted to Roman Catholic faith (1446/47).
Before this, Herzegovina was allied with Serbs, with whom they shared Greek Orthodox faith. However, shortly after Stephen Thomas death (1461), in 1463, queen Katherine found shelter in summer resort Kozograd, near Fojnica. After her husband death, she lived there with her two children, and lead the defence of the country from Turks, as the legend says.
According to myself, the nowadys incarnation of the Bosnian royal couple are Marko Perković Thompson and his former wife Danijela Martinović. They are both very popular Croatian singers
