5 things to see when in Trieste

1. The main square of Italian unity. Situated in the city center Piazzi dell'Unita d'Italia is one of the nicest squares i have saw. A large, open space facing the see is unique because of it’s diverse architecture of Italy and Austro Hungarian monarchy. In the middle of the square is a large fountain representing four continents, as well as a beautiful building of the city hall.

2. Church Sant'Antonio Nuovo is situated on the channel Grande and is built in neo-classical style, and with it’s blue dome from the outside it really does not look like a classic church. Construction of the church was completed in 1849, and with its large columns is very similar to the Roman Pantheon temple. Personally one of the most beautiful buildings in Trieste.

3. Channel Grandel Grande is an open space with beautiful colorful buildings, restaurants, shops and souvenirs. The channels bridge offers a beautiful view of the two churches the Sant'Antonio Nuovo and the Serbian Orthodox church. Unforgettable!!!

4. Roman theatre is one of the oldest monuments in Trieste. Build around the I. century in the period of Emperor Octavian’s rule the theatre is beautifully preserved.

5. Borsa Vecchia is a nice pink building with a clock and four large columns. The building houses facilities of commerce, industry, trade and agriculture.
