Notes: Terry Garland is a country-blues interpreter who plays a National steel-body guitar, often with a slide, in the style of Bukka White and Fred McDowell.
Terry Garland is widely known as a master slide and acoustic blues guitarist. Born in Johnson City, Tennessee, Garland traces his roots to such greats as Robert Johnson, Jimmy Reed and Blind Willie McTell. He is also strongly influenced by Elvis Presley, Keith Richards and JJ Cale.
On this fifth album, which is all originals, Terry ventures into new territory. Those who love the roots, blues, folk, country, honky tonk and gospel will find a common ground.
