OK. Have you ever wondered how a single mother who doesn’t drink alcohol, doesn’t go to bars or cafe places, who hates smokers and nicotine and really prefers 0 human interaction spend her weekends?
Well, she either works for business, works for herself, watches TV or plays games. Simple life, is in it?
So me, as a single mother that doesn’t drink alcohol and hates nicotine in all shapes and forms I spend this weekend working for me. Yesterday I was in big shopping mall, bruising true stores, not actually willing to buy anything, or better yet not willing to pay anything over 10 USD, and in pure boredom I went in to local optometry store to check how much it would cost me to get new prescription glasses, since the one I have aren’t working anymore (my dioptre went up again I am afraid). The kind lady gave me the prices, 100 USD for one lens, plus 40 for cheapest frame. I asked for transition lenses (the ones that get darker under UV light). So the total would make it 240 USD. Way over the amount I am willing to spend. So last night and practically entire day today I was scrolling through internet looking for better option. And a came across two of them Ebay – uscvision seller offers frames with prescription transition lenses for the total price of 122 USD. Better then 240, right? Then I was puzzled what transition lenses really are and Goggled it for I while and came across web page eyebuydirect. Sounds good, no? The page looks professional, you even have the option of uploading your head image and trying out some frames online. I vent to see the prices..... The total with frame, prescription transition lenses and antiglare layer and UV protection and all that 88 USD. Definitively better then 240. Now people might say that’s risky cheap lenses, aren’t you afraid, China and all that. Well, I purchased a lot of different items from internet and to my best of experience I came to realize that in most cases when you buy from internet you either get as per the amount you paid or greater value items. I have never received something from China that I overpaid regarding to its actual value. Anyway, the eyebuycheap is not from China, but from USA, so that should calm some of you down. My last glasses I ordered from Ebay, with ISAAC frame, and I love them. In local store I would pay over 150 USD for it, and I paid 68$. I send to the seller my dioptre and PD (distance between eyes) and I got great product at extreme good price.
Now the trick is how to find out my new dioptre? The medical exam in local hospital has rows to eternity, it is never your turn. And local optometry store has computer testing of dioptre, but it gives you the result only if you buy glasses. So that is the plan for next week, find out my new dioptre on at easiest possible way. It is hard.
