I use the speakerphone for almost every call, so its failings in this regard is really a difficulty for me. Unfortunately, its not "defective," and I can not just return it to acquire a replacement that will cure the problem--the "defect" in this telephone will be the design--the other two "new" 6.0 DECT Panasonic phones I recently tried had exactly the same poor design--Panasonic's "digital duplex" just is not the exact same, or as very good as, true full duplex.
