Increase Your Eyesight With This Effective Vision Workout

A recent study showed that the most common reasons for bad eyesight are incurred naturally and can be cured naturally. It is a wonder why almost everyone accepts wearing glasses as the only solution to poor eyesight, without paying any heed whatsoever to the usefulness of performing regular eye exercises?

I genuinely believe that people are just simply unaware just how their eyes work and how quickly it can respond to a little bit of exercise. Since the more recent studies are confirming the important role of eye muscles in controlling visual acuity, it stands to reason that you can improve your visual clarity simply by performing specialized eye exercises. Just as the late Dr Bates - the pioneer of natural vision improvement - believed, more and more natural visual enhancement therapists are confirming that the vast majority (over three quaters) of people with visual disturbances can be cured either fully or in part, using natural techniques.

Teaching your eyes to Relax

Too many people make the mistake of underestimating the role relaxation plays in improving eyesight. Eye strain very quickly results in a loss of synchrony between different eye movements required in good vision. The muscles in your eyes are different to those in other parts of your body. When your eye muscles become strained, you don't usually notice it as a pain in or around your eyes, you simply experience it with poor vision.

To get rid of eye strain, you can use a method taught by Dr Bates called 'palming'. Despite being an incredibly simple technique, palming is easily one of the most effective exercises for improving visual acuity over time. Palming can produce excellent results after just a few weeks of regular use.

Here is how to perform it:

With your arms raised in front of you, face your hands toward your face. Cover your eyes with your palms, with your hands cupped so as to avoid pressing down on your eyelids. Put your elbows on your desk or another hard surface and try to make yourself comfortable. At this stage, it is important to think of calm and relaxing things. The goal here is to calm all the muscles in and around the eyes. It may not be so easy at first, but it will come with practice.
