If you're not a math genius (like my husband), this is a great little app for your Kindle. All the basic functions are there, as well as percentage, square root, 1/x, memory, etc. You can also see the history of your calculation. In addition, results extend many decimal places (one result I got showed the answer to 16 decimal places). The numbers and symbols all match up nicely to corresponding keys on the Kindle.Sure, if you want to figure the orbit of Pluto around the Sun in the year 2525, this is not the calculator you would use.....although my husband might be able to figure out a way. But for everyday needs, this is a good little calculator. Sitting somewhere shopping at Amazon on your Kindle? Just use the calculator to figure how much all those great books will cost!Someone on here said not to buy the calculator, and to use some secret method on your Kindle. Well, I tried his method and my Kindle froze up and I had to re-start it. I then came here and bought the calculator, as I'd rather pay 99 cents for an EASY TO USE calculator than to attempt some alternative method that is a pain to use and causes problems.

I'm a old geezer retired machinist. I keep all my machining and tech manuals on my Kindle. The Calc is really easy to use is always with me. ( That's because I carry the Kindle everywhere ) Plus The New Note pad is also 100% better than the original. Two Must have as far as I'm concerned. I have a kindle 3 and u can calculate arithmetic on it. Go to home. Search your items and type in equation you want to solve. It will give you the answer for free! Also works on the kindle dx.
