A Yellow-edged Moray (Gymnothorax flavimarginatus) is being cleaned by a Pacific Cleaner Shrimp (Lysmata amboinensis) on a Cleaning Station that is inhabited by Hinge-beak Shrimp (Rhynchocinetes durbanensis).

A cleaning station is a location where fish and other marine life congregate to be cleaned. The cleaning process includes the removal of parasites from the skin, inside the mouth and gills. When the fish approaches a cleaning station they will pose in an 'unnatural' way to show the cleaner shrimp that they want to be cleaned and pose no threat, this can be pointing in a strange direction and/or opening the mouth wide.

In the film Finding Nemo the character Jacques is based on the Pacific Cleaner Shrimp.

Een Geelgevlekte Murene wordt door een Pacifische Poetsgarnaal schoongemaakt op een poetsstation dat bewoont wordt door Dansgarnalen.

Een poetsstation is een locatie waar vissen en andere zeedieren samenkomen om te worden schoongemaakt. Het reinigingsproces bestaat uit het verwijderen van parasieten van de huid, in de mondholte en kieuwen. Als vissen een poetsstation bezoeken poseren ze in een 'onnatuurlijke' houding om de poetsgarnaal duidelijk te maken dat ze willen worden gereinigd en dat ze geen bedreiging vormen. De pose bestaat vaak uit het wijzen met het lichaam in een vreemde richting en/of het wijd openen van de mond.

In de flim Op zoek naar Nemo heeft de pacifische poetsgarnaal model gestaan voor Jacques.
