Compared to the previous image. you'll surely miss the summer colors and atmosphere; but all other "characters" are still there: Cannes' huge harbour, the Pantiero esplanade and the nearby Palais des Festivals , the Croisette with its traffic, and the shapes of its buildings and Grand Hotels, the hills overalooking the city, and in the background the seafront promenade that stretches up to Pointe Croisette (Point of the Cross), which gets its name from a small cross that used to stand east of the bay, at the starting point of the best-known street in Cannes, and perhaps in the entire French Riviera.
