Notch Filter Uses
- A circuit that takes a small "slice" out of the bandpass tuned by a receiver; this is useful for reducing interference from narrow bandwidth signals.
- A filter that attenuates signals within a very narrow band of frequencies
- In signal processing, a band-stop filter or band-rejection filter is a filter that passes most frequencies unaltered, but attenuates those in a specific range to very low levels. It is the opposite of a band-pass filter.
- a fixed-level, variable-frequency filter found on some preamps that isolates a specific frequency (usually in the low-mids area of the tonal spectrum) to eliminate feedback or unwanted resonance from the body of the guitar.
Leeds - Brewery Wharf & The Oracle
I managed to do a bit of landscape work this week on the walk between our office in Leeds and the hotel in the centre of town. First time I've had a chance to use my replacement Big Stopper, after the last one mercilessly smashed when I drowned the camera last October!
My favourite place for a burger whenever I stay in Leeds is the Oracle on the right. Top notch in there. Never lets me down!
It looks HDR, but it isn't. It pretty much came out of the camera like this, just had to add a small amount of clarity and saturation.
