Wireless Cactus Trigger Mods from Youtube
You can find these Cactus V2s wireless items at Gadget Infinity or on Ebay.
Warning Canon Flashes may blow out these Cactus trigger Receivers. The flash I hooked up to my first Cactus receiver was a Promaster built for a Canon. It ZAPPED the receiver output. You can search the forums for any information which may contradict what happened to me.
Luckily, I ordered two receivers, I now have the second Cactus receiver modded and hooked up to a Sunpack cheapo auto 30DX and it works great.
The Cactus Wireless system is about 40 dollars on ebay and Gadget Infinity. I just did this mod and I have not fully tested it yet.
I found most of this information on youtube to do this modification.
On Youtube: Look up "Cactus Mod". There are a series of four videos.
Before I did the modifications, I got about 90% on my firing ratio. Afterwards I got 99 out of 99 or 100%. Your results may vary.
The reciever took a long time to modify. Epoxied and tie-wrapped a AA battery compartment from Frys Electronics. Piggy backed a AA Battery container drilled 2 holes into the V2, fed the wires through soldered on to the + & - sides. It was difficult soldering in tight places.
Both the transmitter and receiver got an antenna from Digikey.
