Balik-Bayan-Box
This was the view inside my box, just before the flaps were folded & sealed!
The Balik-Bayan (going-home) Box will travel by sea, from Immingham Docks to Manila, which takes about 6-weeks.
The service is organized by Lyn, a lady from the Philippines who lives in Rutland
~ primarily for Pinoy-Nurses in our hospitals at Kings-Lynn & Wisbech, who wish to take big Christmas-presents home . . . which would not fit in their air-line luggage !
But anyone can use the service, and it's ideal for people like me, who are going for long holidays ~ and wish to take bulky items, for DIY & decorating!
I have added notes, to identify some of the unusual contents !!
Camera Counter
Lens shopping on Hidalgo Street, the 'photographers' haven' right next to Quiapo Church in Manila. Little shop after shop with used and new film and digital SLR and studio equipment.
This is with the Canon EF-S 10-22 3.5-4.5 mounted on my Digital Rebel (300D), so about 16-35 with the crop factor.
