On Sunday we had to walk to church in full uniform which included for the girls a beret in the winter and a straw boater in the summer. we even had school rain coats
After church it was back to school for sunday dinner in the dinning room grace was said before very meal, and we were not allowed to sit until the teachers were seated
then it was the march along to the sea front to the Naze tower and back in time for Sunday tea
If kids today think they had it hard my bed time at aged 11 was 19.30 in a dorm shared with 10 other girls. up at 6am for a jog around the playground come rain shine or snow.
At 5 i was making my own bed no duvet I cleaned my own shoes, and Saturday morning did my own washing
what did boarding school do for me? it made me selfish, it made me never trust people, it has made it very hard to make friends, due to the fact I had to look after number one .
Did I like it, NO and even now at aged 40+ I cant forgive my parents for abandoning me
