Papaya figured she didn't want to wait for me to finish the afgan, and is working on cleaning up the chair in her own way. Seriously, she couldn't be distracted until she had carefully licked the six inch square within reach of where she was settled!
She does this to wool blankets as well - anything of a certain fuzziness seems to trigger the "groom my buddy" reflex.
