Lauzon Wood Flooring
- Most wood flooring is made of hardwoods, such as oak, maple, pecan, beech and birch. There is solid wood flooring and laminated, which combines wood layered in different directions for strength and to inhibit warping.
- Most often made from hardwoods like maple, pecan, beech, birch or oak.
- Wood flooring is any product manufactured from timber that is designed for use as flooring, either structural or aesthetic. Bamboo flooring is often considered a wood floor, although it is made from a grass (bamboo) rather than a timber.
- Lauzon is a former city in southern Quebec, Canada, located on the St. Lawrence River northeast of Lévis. Founded in 1910, Lauzon had a population of about 14,500 when it merged with Lévis in 1989.
Église St-Joseph-de-Lauzon
Lauzon fut le noyau de la seigneurie qui portait le même nom, concédé en 1636 à Jean de Lauzon, gouverneur de la Nouvelle France. La paroisse Saint-Joseph, appelée « paroisse mère » est la plus ancienne de toutes les paroisses sur la Rive-Sud.
La première église de la paroisse, élevée en 1675, fut détruite par le feu en 1830. Thomas Baillargé, l’un des plus célèbres architectes du Québec, a dessiné les plans pour une nouvelle église qui fut érigée peu après par Charles Côté, maître-maçon de Québec et François Fournier, maître - charpentier, menuisier.
