Leica Dslr Camera
A digital single-lens reflex camera (digital SLR or DSLR) is a digital camera that uses a mechanical mirror system and pentaprism to direct light from the lens to an optical viewfinder on the back of the camera.
Digital Single-Lens Reflex Camera, or a larger digital camera with interchangeable lenses, like the Canon Rebel, 20D, etc. These cameras are larger and you typically take a picture while looking through the viewfinder (eye hole) rather than looking at the LCD screen like a point and shoot.
Leica Camera AG, a German optics company, produces Leica cameras. The predecessor of the company, formerly Ernst Leitz GmbH, is now three companies: Leica Camera AG, Leica Geosystems AG, and Leica Microsystems AG, producing cameras, geosurvey equipment and microscopes, respectively.
A compound word derived from " (Lei)tz " and " (ca)mera ". Apparently they were originally going to use "LECA", but another camera company already used a similar name in France, so they inserted the 'i' to prevent any confustion.

High ISO numbers like 3200, 6400, 12800, or even 100,000+ are common in the world of Nikon DSLR cameras, but the Leica cameras are clamped to relatively low ISO numbers. I think it is the same with Hasselblad.
I think this is Leica's way of saying "hey, we're not going brag high ISO capabilities by compromising image quality with some Mickey Mouse noise filtering software." The higher image quality certainly comes with better lighting conditions (or with a tripod!)
However, being limited to a practical max ISO of 1250 with both the M9 and the S2 is certainly limiting. In the photo above, I pushed the S2 close to its hand-held limit, by shooting this scene hand held with no elbow / shoulder support at ISO 1250, f/2.5 and 1/45 s.
This was a very busy bar with 2-3 bartenders and many customers constantly walking across the scene, so there was not a chance of setting up shop with a tripod. Under the circumstances, I was quite pleased with the end result.
