With all that I am, of course I didn't want to put down the money for an official Sony camera bag to go with my new camera. I had this old bag that I used to use with my FD 97, and it was plenty big enough for my new camera and some extras (mini-tripod, connection cable, owner's manual, ricolas, spare batteries and memory sticks (not yet purchased) and such.
But I didn't want to just have it all thrown in to bump around together. So I needed a shelf for the camera.
Looking around, I saw the wood glue, foam core, utility knife, some old docker shorts that donated their fabric, some dish-packing foam sheets, scotch tape and a stapler.
That's all I needed. Boy, the room was sure a mess when I finished three days later, but it was worth it.
