Musing on Woo 2
Yes...this is different than Woo 3, even if the description is the same.
6" Round
Floss: DMC Perle Cotton Floss
Fabric: "Empress Woo" by Robyn Randolph (Free Spirit Fabrics)
Stitches: Back stitch, french knots, whipped running stitch, bullion stitch, satin stitch
I'm starting a whole new set of Empress Woo embroideries. I found several cuts of this fabric in my stash. So psyched! I'm going to do 4-5 in different sizes and then hang them as an art installation in my office at work. I have these nifty wooden skeleton keys that I bought on Etsy that I'm going to hang in between. I have no idea what the connection is, I just think it will look cool.
I love this design, it reminds me of Song of Songs. It's all beauty, love and seduction. I wonder how many variations I can come up with. I like Woo 3 better than Woo 2, but I'm still pretty happy with both.
I'm also really happy with the framing. I think my hoop frames are really improving. The gold paint and wrapped top really give it a finished look. :)
