Any B5 Passat/Audi DIY-ers will wince when I say the upper control arm pinch bolt broke at both ends.
Disassemble. Heat. Beat. Repeat for two hours.

Windows removed...
All that glass would be a bit much for a bedroom.
Added in frames for the new windows, and proper insulation.
First-fix plumbing for the en-suite in.
Battoning under the floor joists (recycled from the exterior cladding and the old skirting boards) to hold the insulation and eventually underfloor heating.
