Speed limit enforcement is the action taken by appropriately empowered authorities to check that road vehicles are complying with the speed limit in force on roads and highways.

Rain drops in a cobweb
I spotted a bunch of cobwebs covered in drops of rain while I was doing the washing up, so I grabbed my camera and went into the garden to photograph them.
The shots I took of the cobwebs didn't really turn out how I wanted, so I grabbed my macro filter and took a bunch of macro shots.
Using the flash without any modifications worked extremely well. I used to do macro shots with my old Fujifilm S3500 with a reversed 50mm lens attached to the front of it. The onboard flash didn't work nearly as well as this.
The D40 has a flash sync speed of 1/500, too, which is great. Not that any of my shots were taken at anything faster than 1/125. But it's helpful, because it means I can stop down to f/22 and still get decent hand-held macro shots.
The biggest problem is trying to get the depth of field in the right place. I pretty much just move slowly back and forth until I get some idea of where the focus will be, and try to time the shutter with that. Seems to work.
I'm pretty grateful for RAW files, too. I don't usually play around with the exposure too much. If I want to adjust highlights and shadows, I can usually get decent results from the 16-bit TIFF files in Photoshop. But being able to salvage highlights and shadows in the RAW file is really awesome.
I also found out today that there is some dust on my 50mm lens. I'm not sure if I'll be able to clean it properly, because it looks like it's inside the lens.
It shows up when I stop down to f/22, which is what I use with the macro filter for maximum dof. So that sucks.
I'm not sure at what f-stop it starts to become visible. I don't imagine I'd use anything higher than f/11 (or maybe even f/9) without the macro filter attached, so it might be usable still. We'll see.
Also, I've managed to use up a huge portion of my monthly upload limit already. I have about 2MB left after today. The problem is that I used to upload the full-size, highest quality JPGs. So I have to get used to resizing to 1024px and saving at a lower quality. Unfortunately, deleting files doesn't give me back any of my allowance, so I might have to wait until next month before I upload more photos.
Main Railroad Signal Djursholms-Ösby
A Swedish main railroad signal with five lights it can show the maximum ammount of speed allowances. However since it's in Djursholms-Ösby and the railroad is a narrow gauge one the speed intervals isn't 40/80/Max km/h it's 30/60/Max km/h.
