Floor Joists Building Regulations

Written permission from a local authority permitting construction of a house, extension or conservatory.
The health and safety requirements that any new construction must meet.
(Floor Joist) A horizontal support made of wood, steel or concrete usually smaller than a beam.
(floor joist) joist that supports a floor
Framing members which span from one foundation wall to the other side of foundation wall, or sometimes rest on intermediate main beams.
That sinking feeling!
This newly built house, which isn't even completed, is sinking into the ground!
I am not at all surprised to see this as most houses in Japan are constructed on hastily prepared foundations. The foundations of most houses are simply compacted earth with very little in the way of concrete or sub-strata bearings for support.
Houses in Japan are built in under 2 months usually and made from timber and compressed chipboard. Workmanship is generally good, but there are no hard and fast building regulations.
