Hallway Runner Rugs

In the entry hall of rug purveyor Stephanie Odegards Manhattan apartment, a colorful Odegard runner in a pattern called Hallo Metok leads past a custom bamboo display cabinet by Federico de Vera (www.deveraobjects.com) and an antique Thonet table. The carved marble panel set into the coffered ceiling shields a light source above.

What? The Rug Was Like This!
Only days after I had put a new sticky carpet pad beneath this hallway runner my cat Radar managed to pile it up in a heap. This happens frequently during the late-night madness when the cats tear around the condo playing with toys or chasing each other. I'm not sure a carpet pad exists that could hold it in place.
He looks rather pleased with himself, too.
