Kumi: "Not if he's dead."

Yuri: "Or, has his eyes ripped out of their sockets before he can identify his assailants."

Everyone: *stares at Yuri*

Yuri (nonchalantly): "What? I was simply voicing a heartfelt wish on the matter."

Everyone: *starts giggling*

Kumi: "Hey, if the boys were to get caught doing heinous, unspeakable acts to Brian--"

Wren: *alarmed look*

Kumi: "--hypothetically speaking, of course, we'll just get 'em a lawyer. Fletch probably has some lawyer buddies up this way. We can ask him when he gets here."

Wren: *straightens up and smoothes hair nervously* "Uh, why's Fletch coming up here?"

Yuri: "He has finally agreed to show a sample of his work at my gallery."

Wren: "Oh, um, great. *fidgets* When will he be here?"

Lark: *shoots Wren a questioning look*

Wren: *babbles* "Just curious. You know I can't stand him, so I figured avoiding him would be easier if I knew, you know, when he was arriving and everything..."

Yuri: "Wonderful! You read my mind, Wren! I was about to invite you to stay here with us for a bit. Lark, you could stay as well."

Lark: *shakes head* "I can hang around for a couple of days, but then I have to get back to my shop. I think Wren should stay, though...indefinitely. Boston's toxic for her right now."

Wren: "Well...I wouldn't mind getting away for a bit, but...I can't."

Lark: "Why?"

Wren: "Who'll tend the bar?"

Lark: "Riordan can cover your shifts; it's what you've been training her for, right? And, besides, she won't mind. She's saving up for a new car and needs the cash."

Wren: "Well, what about mom and dad? How are we going to explain my disappearing act? They'll worry, especially dad."

Lark: "I'll cover for you with mom and dad. Dad won't worry if he knows you're with family. And, once you think you can talk to him without breaking down, you can call and reassure him yourself."

Wren (softening): "Riordan's too liberal with the expensive hooch. Tell her not to use it unless someone asks for it, 'kay?"

Lark: "You got it."

Wren: "And, tell mom and dad I won't be gone for long...maybe a few weeks."

Lark: "No problem."

Wren: "Then....okay. I'll stay."

Doll is a Great Pretender Lilith with razor layer cut by me.

This is a pendant made from a scrap piece of foiled clay leftover from a project I am working on now. I just love the swirly foil piece and I couldnt bring myself to scrap it, so it sat on the tile a couple of days till I thought to display it this way.
