Over The Counter Dishwasher

Stove and Working Area, In-Progress
The major working area of the kitchen; it's shaped up a lot but could use some touchups.
Adding a slide-in cutting board into the empty slot would be good. I'd like to convert the narrow cupboard to the left of the stove, which we'd been using for paper bag storage, into a cookie sheet cupboard as was probably originally intended.
More ambitious: the cabinets could use touch-up, and if I decluttered and painted the inside of the cupboard to the left of the sink, I could remove the doors and make it open storage. Updating the fan over the stove would be good. The big drawer under the microwave should be reorganized. The new dishwasher is a little smaller than the old; putting some white molding around it would make it fit in better.
A small shelf might be a good addition to the backsplash behind the stove.
It would be nice if I could figure out a place to store at least one piece of the cast iron to free up a little more space on the stove. It's too heavy for the pot rack, however. (Maybe just the little one?)
Kitchen Redux
Dishwasher is where hot water heater used to be. Replaced counters, new floor, stripped wallpaper and painted. (over the course of two years) (Sept 2008)
