The Story
It was such a beautiful clear day in San Francisco today so I decided to take another trip to the city. When I got to the Golden Gate by bus, everything seemed normal, but as I made my way down to the Warming Hut and Torpedo Warf I noticed that the water level was so low that you could walk along the shoreline of Marine Dr., which is quite unusual. I proceeded to take some shots of the bridge from the main trail and the warf. I was about to walk back up the steps to the parking lot and bus stop but then I noticed a interesting patch of tide pools and algae covered rocks that I had never seen before. So I decided to climb down the rocks, which are used to shore up the wall of Marine Dr., and immediately noticed the beautiful reflection of the Golden Gate in one of the larger tide pools. So I snapped the shot you see now! I presume that you can only get this shot when circumstances are correct and I just got really lucky with the low tide coinciding with a absolutely perfectly clear and wispy high cloud covered day!
