VK-51 Assault Rifle
The dated assault rifle used by by Tartaran colonists before the planet broke away from Earth rule and formed the Republic. Originally designed by Talos Heavy Industries, who were the main mining equipment contractor and manufactuer on Tartarus, the company moved into weapon design to supply arms to the colonia militia who maintained law and security on the colony. When the Republic formed, the VK-51 became the mainstay rifle of the new Army and saw a boom in numbers. Throughout the 1st Colonial War, the VK-51 proved a robust and reliable weapon, and while not as advanced as the Earth forces own M37, still proved an effective weapon system for Tartaran troops.
Even in the days of the Empire, the Vk-51 is still in use, but instead in the hands of Pirates and Independent planetry militia.
M7A1 Rifle
Just an update on my rifle, some of the improvements:
- Forward ejection port
- Extra Grip© texture on the hanguard
- Complete enclosed weapon system(Much like the FNF2000)
