2007 Walita Mix bar blender RI1363

2007 Walita Mix bar blender RI1363

The bar blender from Viva Collection made since 2007. Like the Viva's blenders Tango Multiblender HR2044 and Soft Touch HR2034, it have a motor casing made of double-injected plastic, so the body is made of PP plastic (white or black) and the lavender parts is a kind of rubber (EPR), so there is no joints between parts. Inicially it was offered as a gift for who bought a Philips' Walita juicer in a popular TV show of home appliances here in Brazil, soon later it was offered by the other stores and supermarkets and got a big popularity compared to the previous mixers.

Indeed before the TV show, bar blenders used to be left behind in the brazilian market, which is a big consumer of blenders and stand mixers. So bar blenders used to be rare in the local market. After this model from Philips, the sales in general had increased and too many competitors appeared, some of them with the same design...

In the first serie it used to be unfixable as the previous mixers since 90's, but due to the bigger sales, it became more sustainable, as brazilian people used to search for repair their home appliances yet instead of discard a "sandwich" of copper, magnets, diodes, steel, plastics and so on in the garbage, since the recycle procedure is not perfect everywhere.

80's - 90's Walita blenders

80's - 90's Walita blenders

The Walita blenders that were the best sellers in the 80's to 90's among the other models of their range. From left:

1984 Walita Gama HL3253 (1984 - 1995)
1989 Walita Beta HL3252 (1984 - 1995)
1994 Walita Firenze RI6755 / HR2855 (1994 - ~2001)
1996 Walita Paris RI6789 / HR2889 (1996 - ~2001)
1999 Walita Twist RI1715 / HR1710 (1999 - 2001)

The 80's Walita Gama and Beta were made in the same time, in the earlier series the Gama blender was the best seller and the model with the widest range of color options to match with every kitchen appliances from Philips at that time. In the end of the 80's the cheaper blender "Walita Beta" became the best seller and sold pretty well this one was one of the most popular blender I've ever seen in Brazil. Since about 1994 its toolings were bought by some chinese manufacturers which keep making this blender until today!
