Kitchen
Kitchen nearing completion in our new condo. We like black appliances over white. Stainless steel is nice, but nowadays you have to be careful because their quality has come down a lot, so unless you pay a lot of money, usually you'll get a cheap-looking stainless steel front, but it'll have black plastic sides and handles.
We're happy we got a double sink, but not at all happy with the small, pointless black tile on the back splash. We were under the impression (as were others apparently) that it would go all the way up the wall, but instead it only goes 4 inches. We are looking into how much it is going to cost to get them to make it go all the way up, or do it ourselves. We might just end up painting the rest of the area black.
We're also happy with the traditional coil burners. In our place right now, we have a glass cook top. It looks sexy when it is new, but as soon as you start cooking, it gets really grimey and is very hard to clean up.
Our unit also doesn't come with a microwave. We'll either put one in the corner next to the fridge, or take away the range hood and get an OTR ("over the range") microwave.
