Bak Kut Teh
Being in Malaysia for less than 24 hours, I have already managed to fit in 4 meals. True the servings here are small, but the blessed asian gene of high metabolism ain't gonna keep up. The treadmill beckons when i get back to Oz.
One of my favourite dish of this country has got to be Bak Kut Teh, (literal translation: meat bone tea). Meat in a broth of herbs and spices served in a claypot. Been craving for this specific place for 9 months.
Sure they serve this dish in Oz, but the taste just isn't the same. The moment i took the first bite, it fulfilled a long time yearning that left with satisfied grin from ear to ear.
