Michigan Avenue at Pioneer Court
This photo is a good example of the unusual weather conditions last Sunday. Looking to the south, a snow-melt haze creating a very textured, 3-D look. But, scanning northward (to the right), the Wrigley Building and everything else looked perfectly bright.
This spot on Michigan Avenue, known as Pioneer Court, is a great place for architecture gazing. The Tribune Tower is out of site directly behind me. But, check out the photo notes for the names of the other buildings.
P.S. This spot is believed to be where Jean Baptiste Pointe du Sable, Chicago's first non-native resident, set up his home and trading post.
