Front Car Seat Cover
- (Seat covers) Trucker slang for attractive women in vehicles as in "Look at the seatcovers in that westbound rollerskate."

Now - Front seats
Here is where most of the work I put in has paid off... The interior looks, to put it in no uncertain terms, fucking awesome compared to how it was. Everything but the steering wheel, front seats, and the stereo came from my parts car. The front seats had to be sourced from another 1989 with the dark grey interior ($50 each at a wreckers), as the seat mountings changed in 1990, so i couldn't fit the fronts from the parts car in it. The steering wheel came out of a 1985 8v Turbo at the same wreckers, so it's got the turbo badge on it... a sign of things to come ;)
The parts car had power windows, so factory door trims with no winder holes really lift the appearance of the doors, along with the factory lighted rear window switches.
I also migrated the entire cruise control system over from the parts car... This car was originally sold with a dealer fitted Dana cruise system that didn't work. It was fitted by someone who didn't really know anything about proper wire routing or terminating, metal work, or how to do simple things like using the correct fitting to attach the throttle cable. I removed it, and the factory cruise fitted like a glove. The correct mounting points for the ECU and the vacuum lines were already in the car... Amazingly enough, it worked first time!
Both indicator and wiper stalks were changed with the parts car ones, which were covered in a chunky film of some cosmetic product. After a clean, they came up like new.
The instrument cluster was changed to the later style one (which IMHO is a lot neater and tidier), and the vents were all changed from the parts car too = no more worn off labelling.
